PLI Successfully Completes Relocation and QMS Special Audits

Phoenix Logistics is pleased to announce that we have successfully completed relocation to our new 45,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona. As part of the relocation and integration of Silverado Cable Company, PLI’s ISO Registrar also conducted special audits of both companies QMS systems.

PLI conducted the physical move of its facilities including transitioning all manufacturing, front office, and technical and IT services over 4 days in January. The company suspended operations at its Tempe, AZ facility on a Thursday and was up and running at the new facility in Mesa by the following Monday. PLI CEO Al Funderburk said, “It was an amazing team effort. Everyone did their part and the move went very smoothly.” “Moreover, the team understood the critical need to execute the move without creating any delays to customer commitments”

As part of the move and transition Phoenix Logistics, Inc. successfully completed an AS9100 Special Relocation Audit of its Quality Management System (QMS) on 17 February. PLI Quality Manager Alex Whittle stated, “All operations and processes have transitioned seamlessly and we look forward to all the new opportunities for growth and continuous improvement that this new facility will bring.”

Phoenix Logistics also successfully completed a transfer of Silverado Cable Company’s AS9100 registration to PLI’s Certification Body (CB) during February. Silverado Cable Co. has been an AS9100 Registered organization since 2003. PLI Quality Manager Alex Whittle reiterated, “Silverado Cable Co. will continue to operate under its existing Quality Management System and shall retain its separate AS9100 Certification to ensure continuity of service for its existing customer contracts.”

Phoenix Logistics would like to welcome any of its customers, vendors, or valued business partners to come and tour the new facility to see how PLI will be able to better serve them in the future.
