Phoenix Logistics Receives US Government Property Accountability Certification

Phoenix Logistics, Inc. (PLI) recently underwent a Defense Contracting Management Agency (DCMA) audit to verify PLI’s processes, policies and supporting infrastructure to manage Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Government Furnished Property (GFP) on high value US Government prime contracts. The audit spawned from PLI’s recent award of the Common Battle Command Simulation Equipment (CBCSE) program whereby millions of dollars’ worth of US Government property must be accounted for and transitioned through PLI’s property management systems. Mr. Tom Hatfield (PLI Director of Special Projects) noted, “The audit was thorough. Fortunately, the existing Management Information System (MIS) and associated property management processes made the review successful”. Mr. Hatfield went on to state, “PLIs systems are quite robust and capable of continuing to scale to meet additional demand”. The audit included a review of operations at PLI’s Mesa, AZ facility and the Orlando, FL Operation.

PLI’s President and CEO, Mr. Al Funderburk, relayed, “I continue to be impressed by the culture of excellence established long ago at PLI. It’s great to see the company scaling up to meet new and more complex requirements.” Over the past 18 months, PLI has completed successful audits by the US Government on Financial Systems, Government Property Accountability, DPAS Management and Manufacturing Operations. Each successful audit examplifies PLI’s capabilities to continue performing as a small business prime contractor but also sets the stage for PLI to compete in a Full and Open Prime Contract competitive environment.
