PLI’s Newly Revamped Supplier Scorecards Ensure Top Quality

The goal of any Quality Management System (QMS) is to effectively manage all aspects of products and processes across the supply chain. This starts with raw material providers and culminates in a final product deliverable. Effective management requires input at all levels of manufacturing, and the supplier scorecards provide the tools in which to evaluate those inputs in order to continuously improve outputs.

It is with this strategic business objective that PLI announces its revamped supplier scorecards, an enhanced tool specifically geared towards performance and efficiency improvements. And as always, it is about the bottom line; our customers’ satisfaction and guaranteed high-performance products.

The supplier scorecard metrics specifically focus on Quality, on time delivery, and responsiveness, qualities that are critical to our Tier 1 customers, such as Boeing and Lockheed Martin, as well as to PLI. Supplier Quality is a key factor to PLI’s ability to provide customers’ with the premier, industry leading MIL-STD-1553 data bus and high performance microwave products they expect. Supplier delivery and responsiveness is a critical component of PLI’s mission to enhance the success of our customers, through increased output, inventory overhead reduction, and decreased lead times from purchase order placement to product delivery. Measuring these key areas of product procurement through integrated technology solutions enables PLI to quickly and readily identify suppliers’ strengths and weaknesses, and in turn apply those capabilities into full product life cycle support.
