Phoenix Defense Appraised at Highest Possible CMMI Maturity Level 5
Gilbert, AZ (October 13, 2023) – The Phoenix Defense Engineering Services division has been formally appraised at level 5, the highest maturity level possible, of ISACA’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®). The appraisal was led by Kris Puthucode of the Software Quality Center, LLC from Gilbert, AZ. Phoenix Defense became the first company successfully appraised including CMMI’s new security practice areas.
CMMI is a proven, outcome-based performance model and the globally accepted standard for improving capability, optimizing business performance and aligning operations to business goals. Essential to those business goals are the:
- Reduction of delivered defects and any impacts to fielded operations
- Reduction of the cost of poor quality balanced with adequate cost of quality to strike the appropriate balance
- Developing and delivering the right product, the first time
- Streamlining our internal processes to avoid security issues, data compromises, rework, and inefficient processes
“For over 18 years our organization has been progressively applying CMMI practices to our Phoenix Defense organization to continuously improve quality and efficiency.
