Colonel Bob Dulong, US Air Force (Retired) Joins PLI

Phoenix Logistics is pleased to announce that Colonel Bob Dulong, US Air Force (Retired), has joined the company as Vice President and Senior Account Manager for US Air Force Accounts.

Bob earned a rare distinction by serving on continuous active duty in the Air Force for 40 years. He brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the current issues and challenges facing the US Air Force to PLI. “I’m thrilled to be joining another great team after a successful 40-year career with the Air Force,” said Bob. “I see significant growth potential for PLI as we strengthen the hand of our military forces.”

Bob is confident that PLI’s unique combination of technical talent and agility as a small business can help the US Air Force solve some of the challenges of supporting the modern-day warfighter.

Following graduation from high school in Providence, Rhode Island, Bob enlisted as an aircraft maintenance technician. In 2009, he retired as the Commander for the 509th Maintenance Group at Whiteman Air Force Base, home of the nation’s B-2 fleet. During those intervening years, he gained extensive experience throughout the aircraft maintenance and logistics communities. In addition, he was appointed to leadership positions in several large organizations and succeeded in growing those organizations despite demanding mission and budget constraints. He is well-versed on B-52, KC-135, B-1B, C-17, T-38 and B-2 aircraft. He completed several headquarters tours including service at the United States Strategic Command, Air Combat Command, and Strategic Air Command headquarters. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University, Master of Science degree in Administration/Management from Georgia College, Master of Science degree in Logistics Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and Master of Strategic Studies degree from Air War College. He is also a Certified Professional Logistician through the Society of Logistics Engineers. Bob calls Gilbert, Arizona, home. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Denise, their children and grandchildren, traveling, and the pursuit of the elusive single-digit golf handicap.
